Greeting from ICC

Welcome to International Cross-cultural Committee (ICC)! We are so glad that you have decided to do a homestay through ICC while you are attending college in the U.S. For the past 20 years, ICC has sent students to the U.S. from Japan to join in a special business + internship program and has arranged the homestays for over 1,000 students. We now feel that it is time to extend our homestay program to other international students. Our many wonderful hostfamilies are excited about opening their hearts and homes to students from other countries and cultures.

Living with an American hostfamily is a wonderful opportunity to truly learn about American culture, expand your English ability, and make friends that will last a lifetime. There are a variety of different kinds of hostfamilies from singles to couples to families! All are there to offer you support and a unique and exciting experience during your stay in the States.

Many hostfamilies have been with ICC for years. We do not rely heavily on advertising for hostfamilies, but instead have obtained new families through referrals from current hostfamilies. Through this network and our application, interview, and background check process, we are confident you will find yourself in a safe homestay environment. Your detailed application helps us to match you with a hostfamily that you will feel comfortable with.

We look forward to receiving your application soon and meeting you at the airport! Please feel free to contact our office anytime. We will be waiting to hear from you!
